Creatives Anonymous Records Drop Debut Comp

creatives anonymous records

Creatives Anonymous Records is a brand new label that was born from a Discord server. Before ever cutting a record, they were a thriving online community of like minded creatives. Within weeks of launching, they had amassed over 200 members.

It wasn’t long before the talented assemblage decided to pool their resources and start their own label, Creatives Anonymous Records. In September they introduced the new indie imprint with a ten-song compilation featuring independent artists from around the world. Creatives Anonymous Various Artists C.A.R., Vol. 1 dropped worldwide via all major streaming services on September 1, 2023.

Dutch producer Dion Kempeck opens the album with the cinematic introductory anthem “The Beginning”, and follows with the house banger “Better Now”. On both tracks his sound has an airy synthwave feel. Chicago mixmaster Chris Cruise continues that vibe with the dreamy electro-pop “Heart Beat”, and is followed by two fellow Chi-town DJs.

Sergio Murillo takes his turn and offers an infectiously catchy melody over a drum and bass groove on “About You”. WETduck then drops a big fat sawtooth bass on the dubstep “Bounce”. Ricardo Alire keeps that party going with the fiery “Quemo”.

The album then takes a turn to the chill with “The Other Side”, an ethereal collab from UK recording artist Astro, and Chris Cruise. Astro stays on the mic and follows with a pair of solo tracks; the acoustic neo-soul lament “Die” and the psychedelic emo-trap “Save”. The record closes on the excellent dark-pop ensemble breakup song “If Only”, featuring CVKES, Chanel Nicole, Astro.
