Dj Jody JaXn is a veteran producer debuting a brand new solo project in 2023. The cutting-edge club DJ has been working the decks and the studio for more than fifteen years. Based in Atlanta, Georgia he has strong family and musical roots in Queens New York and Holland.
Citing the inspiration of groundbreaking producers like Dj Jelly, Dj Smurf, Dj Quik, Dj Kizzy Rock, and Beatking, Dj Jody JaXn, creates a genre-bending groove built on elements of the New Jersey club sound, and down South twerk. His new single is a collaboration with multi-platinum producer SPKilla. JaXn says he was inspired to cut the track to kick some life into “boring-ass sectioned-off clubs/lounges where no one is dancing.”
“TootDatBootyUp” is the brand new single from Dj Jody JaXn and SPKilla, released worldwide via all major streaming services on October 16, 2023. Minor-key piano arpeggios open the track as the beat drops on a driving reggaeton and jungle-infused groove. Subterranean bass tones rattle the floor as staccato strings build the energy and a sampled female voice delivers a funky step-by-step lesson in twerking.
