Jel’low is the professional name of emerging independent recording artist Stanley Turner. He made his solo debut in 2020 with the single “Celebrate”, introducing a genre-bending sound built on elements of hip-hop, pop, rock, and EDM.
Originally from Washington DC, Jel’low now calls the southern music mecca of Atlanta home. He has thrived in the city’s vibrant music scene. Since his debut the prolific producer has released nearly two dozen singles, connecting with fans around the world on popular tracks like “American Gods” and last year’s “Hot”.
“Aye” is the brand new single and video from Jel’low and Magnetic Entertainment, released worldwide via all major streaming services on August 1, 2023. A classical music ensemble opens the track before the beat drops on a syncopated trap-infused groove. Deep 808 bass tones rumble the floor and psychedelic effects paint the edges of the mix as the rapper steps to the mic with a rapid-fire rhythmic freestyle that pairs an old-school verbose lyrical flow with a very modern hip-hop technique.
