Kele Fleming got her start in the 1990’s, rocking Vancouver’s red-hot alternative scene. The Canadian native played clubs throughout the Pacific Northwest as the frontwoman of the popular band Hazel Motes. In 2004 she launched a prolific and award-winning solo recording career.
Since her debut, Kele Fleming has released four full-length albums and nearly two dozen singles. She is a talented lyricist with a poetic flare and a passion for environmental & social justice issues. Although her music is rooted in singer-songwriter adult-alternative, she is an eclectic and adventurous artist who often ventures into previously uncharted creative territory.
“In My Dream (Mercury Teardrop Remix)” is the brand new single from Kele Fleming, available worldwide via all major streaming services. The song’s official music video dropped everywhere on November 14. The lyrics of the song are taken from a 2012 essay about heartbreak and loss, by Canadian writer Jane Rule. In a haunting melody the singer laments the passing of joy to grief as producer Mercury Teardrop (aka Brad Bauman) paints a psychedelic scene of drum and bass beats and trip-hop vibes.
