Steve Savona is a veteran independent musician and recording artist who made his professional solo recording debut in 2020 with the album 20 Year Session. That record introduced a multi-talented singer, songwriter, and guitarist from New York City. His sound is a classic mix of guitar-driven alternative rock and infectiously catchy indie-pop.
Since dropping his debut album, the prolific Steve Savona has released a string of popular singles. His unique mix of modern and retro rock has connected with fans around the world with popular singles like “The Way to Be” and “Prove Me Wrong”. In September the NYC guitar-slinger dropped his sophomore full-length LP.
“Coming into Los Angeles” is the current single from Steve Savona’s album Basically Me, available worldwide via all major streaming services. The tune is a cover of Arlo’s Guthrie’s tale of travel and contraband. An overdriven lead guitar opens the track over an upbeat minor-key rock groove. On the mic, the singer tells the precarious first-person account of landing in LAX with questionable cargo and a cast of characters, as the band lays down a banging proto-punk rocker.
