We first heard from Noah Whiteside in January upon the release of his single “New York Blues #32”. That track introduced The Static Dive readers to an emerging singer-songwriter from the Northeast with a classic acoustic vibe. Prior to going solo, Noah performed in a series of indie bands between Boston, NYC, and his hometown of Saratoga Springs, New York.
Although he debuted in 2020, Noah Whiteside found his stride in 2023. Over the course of just eight months, the prolific song man released three singles, an album, and an EP. He shows no signs of slowing down in the new year.
“Song For a Rainy Day” is the brand new single from Noah Whiteside, released worldwide via all major streaming services on February 9, 2024. As the song opens, the singer steps to the mic with his signature guitar in hand. Bass and drums lay down a mellow shuffle, bringing to mind the easy folk-pop of Harry Nillson, as Noah laments the passing of another inconsequential rainy day.
