SirenBlue Drop New LP & Single

We first heard from SirenBlue back in 2021 upon the release of their long awaited comeback album Same But Different. That record introduced The Static Dive readers to a veteran UK alternative band who reconnected after a twenty year hiatus. After remastering and reissuing their second album Death or Dreams, the band was inspired to cut a follow-up.

The album did well with critics and fans. With their newfound momentum, SirenBlue has found a whole new audience in the 2020’s. Now they have teamed-up once-again with long-time collaborator Steve Evans (Robert Plant, Paul Heaton, Proclaimers, Siouxsie Sioux, Goldfrapp) to co-producer the sophomore album of their second act.

“Obsolete” is the current single from SirenBlue’s brand new album Hit Like and Carry On, released worldwide via all major streaming services on April 12, 2024. The track opens on an anthemic mix of syncopated guitar arpeggios and ambient synths over a driving alt-pop groove. On the mic, vocalist Collette Horne sings of struggling to stay sane in an insane world, as strings and keys launch the mix into the stratosphere.
