Kele Fleming & Lost Signal Drop New Buzzwave Mix for World Bee Day 2024

kele fleming

Kele Fleming is not one to be bound by musical genres. The Canadian musician started her career in the 90s as the leader of a popular alternative rock group. As regular readers of The Static Dive know well, since then she has carved out a wonderfully eclectic solo career.

In recent years, Kele Fleming has collaborated with a series of electronic music producers to reinvent popular alt-pop and indie-folk tracks from her extensive catalog. Her songs often center around environmental themes. One of her most popular (and most remixed) tunes is “Vanishing of Bees”.

“Vanishing of Bees Buzzwave (Lost Signal Remix)” is the brand new collaboration from Kele Fleming and Lost signal (aka UK producer Matt Couchman), released worldwide via all major streaming services on May 20, the United Nations-designated World Bee Day. Psychedelic effects spin around the buzz of an analog sawtooth synth bass that pulses at the song’s meditative heart, as Kele’s pleas for the bees paint the periphery. It is a hypnotic and infectious sound.

"It’s not quite electronica, nor EDM nor synthwave. It’s buzzwave!"
