ENYAWD is a genre-bending independent singer, songwriter, and rapper. The emerging Canadian recording artist is making his solo debut in 2024 with a string of singles. His sound is a cinematic mix of hip-hop grooves and rock & roll riffs.
Raised in Toronto, ENYAWD’s childhood was defined by his family’s deep Caribbean roots. He would spend hours at his father’s downtown nightclub, sometimes manning the sound boards for the punk and metal bands who played there. His new solo project marks a return to the artist’s musical beginnings.
“Witness the Fire” is the debut single from ENYAWD, available worldwide via all major streaming services. As the track opens, a heavy metal guitar and ambient synths rise from the depths of the mix and land on a slow and low trap groove. Stepping to the mic, the singer slides smoothly between melodic freestyle rhymes and a rock & roll howl as he delivers an introspective tale his own struggle with and ultimate conquest over an unforgiving world.
