Shane Allenger is a veteran singer-songwriter making his solo debut in 2024. For the past two decades, he has worked alongside his cousin Sean Hennings as one half of the popular Cayman Islands duo Hi Tide. The pair have connected with fans worldwide with more than a dozen albums and a string of successful singles.
One recent morning, Shane Allenger woke from a dream with conflicting feelings of dread and contentment. He worried as he contemplated the ever-increasing cacophony of bad news in the world. He then glanced at his partner beside him and realized that the peace and love he found at home were his solace and safe haven in an unforgiving world. A song was born.
“A Sweet Dream” is the debut single from Shane Allenger, released worldwide via all major streaming services on July 5, 2024. Melodic piano arpeggios and ethereal backing vocals open the track. Shane steps to the mic as the beat drops on a chilled downtempo groove. Bass, drums, guitars and keys enter the mix as the singer builds the track to an emotionally powerful alt-pop anthem.
