Razvan Albu is a singer, songwriter, and guitarist from Bucharest, Romania. He launched a new solo recording project in 2016 with the LP This Life. That record introduced a multi-talented musician with an eclectic sound built on elements of rock, pop, metal, and country.
An international talent, Razvan Albu has made music around the world. He spent a few years in the U.S. and Canada in the early 2000s where he honed his songwriting chops, played in a few bands, and released a string of records. In recent years he has worked with a worldwide roster of musicians, including frequent collaborator Jason Falloon, best known as Roger Taylor’s (Queen) go-to guitarist.
“What’s in it for me” is the brand new single and video from Razvan Albu’s forthcoming sophomore album Labour of Love. An organic guitar, bass, drum, and percussion ensemble opens the track on an acoustic Americana vibe. The singer steps to the mic as an electric slide guitar paints the edges of the mix with blues licks. He offers a series of anecdotes about wheelers and dealers looking out for number one as the track builds to an anthemic modern rocker.
