Millennia is an emerging progressive metal band from Torrington, Connecticut. They made their professional recording debut in 2019 with the album Casual Nexus. That record introduced a hard-rocking quartet with a sound built on crushing metal riffs and art-rock virtuosity.
Dustin Pfaender (drums, audio engineering) and Daniel Dolecki (guitar) formed Millennia in 2012, bonding over their mutual appreciation of modern metal acts like Tesseract, Meshuggah, Periphery, and Sevendust. Aaron Starr (vocals) and Joseph Dionne (guitar) joined later to complete the roster. Since their debut, the prolific rockers have released two albums, three EPs, and a string of singles.
“Phantoms” is the brand new single from Millennia, released worldwide via all major streaming services on July 26, 2024. The track opens on a thunderous power chord crunch before the beat lands on a hard, syncopated, double-kick groove. The band lays down an epic metal anthem of art rock complexity and dark metal intensity, ethereal harmonies paint the periphery and a deep and dark guttural vocal takes the lead.
