David Ratmoko is a versatile creator with a decades-deep resume in the fashion world. He’s worked as a photographer, model, and as director of his own modeling agency in Zurich, Switzerland. For his latest project, the Bachelor of Fine Arts graduate has turned his creative energies toward music.
Classically trained on both piano and guitar, David Ratmoko is now an emerging independent classical electronic music composer and producer making his professional recording debut in 2024. He is introducing his unique blend of classical, synthwave, and ambient trap with two albums The Preludes and The Adagios, each to be released in waterfall fashion as a series of singles.
“Prelude 3” is the debut single from David Ratmoko, released worldwide via all major streaming services on August 7, 2024. The piece opens on a mellow synthwave vibe as percussive electronic arpeggios float above an ambient scene above a pulsing kick drum. Complex interwoven melodies & deep sawtooth bass tones weave into the mix to create a hypnotic soundscape as the beat lands on a midtempo New Wave groove.
