t dot est is a genre-bending experimental electronic music project which first took form a decade ago. The eclectic recording artist blends elements of ambient, IDM, jazz, and classical and club music to create a unique electronica vibe.
This remarkably prolific producer has released twelve albums and over three dozen singles. Each of his multimedia projects follows its own central thread, a conceptual idea that guides all creative decisions within the project. PD23colla is a trip-hop style analog/electronic hybrid created in honor of International Piano Day, which falls on March 29th the 88th day of the year (pianos have 88 keys).
“PD23colla” is a single from t dot est, available worldwide via all major streaming services. The track opens on an ambient organic mix of found sounds as slow percussive arpeggios enter the mix. They meter out a hypnotic melody over a minimalist downtempo groove, creating a surreal cinematic scene. The piece was recorded on a real, old prepared upright piano.
