SameWaterWithin is the professional name of emerging songwriter Fynn Lasse Jens. He is a 23 year-old poet and student of philosophy who is now directing his creative energies toward the world of music. This summer the German writer released five lyrical collaborations, including his debut single as a recording artist.
Fynn worked with Spanish music producer and composer Georgi Manga for the SameWaterWithin debut. They recruited the talents of vocalists Seba Dentis from Argentina and Agus Bouquet from Spain. Together they gave voice to the philosophical poetry of a talented young writer with a unique view of the beauty in this world.
“Fly Butterfly” is the new single from SameWaterWithin, released worldwide via all major streaming services on July 24, 2024. The track opens with a funk bass intro and the pulse of a four-on-the-floor kick drum. Smooth ambient synths and some funky Nile Rodgers-style guitar enter the mix, dropping R&B and disco vibes on the groove. On the mic, Dentis and Bouquet trade verses as they skillfully and soulfully deliver Fynn’s inspiring and insightful poetry about the nature of individuality, freedom, and the role of an single soul in an infinite universe.
