We first heard from Jimmy The Man back in May of last year, upon the release of his single “My Favorite Song”. That track introduced The Static Dive readers to singer, songwriter, and guitarist James Darle Jones. The Maryland native is a forty-year rock & roll veteran.
Jimmy the Man made his professional solo recording debut in 2016 with an eponymous six-song EP. Since then, he and a core group of musical friends have recorded and released a string of popular singles, as well as the 2021 full-length LP The Greatest Day. He has connected with fans worldwide with a blues-infused classic rock vibe.
“I Love This Country” is the brand new single from Jimmy the Man, released worldwide via all major streaming services on September 4, 2024. Showing a softer and folkier side to his sound, Jones offers a heartfelt and patriotic ode to Uncle Sam. Accompanied by some really beautiful piano and smooth backing vocal harmonies, the singer strums his acoustic guitar and quietly declares his non-partisan love of the USA.
