Kondo wa Kondo is the new solo project from emerging independent composer/producer Daniel Yaniuk. Originally from Ukraine, three years ago Yaniuk relocated to the United States. He made his international solo recording debut earlier this summer.
Daniel Yaniuk was born into a musical family and began writing and recording his own tunes in high school. In Ukraine he was part of a vibrant indie music community, performing on stage regularly and collaborating with peers. His debut single addresses the dramatic culture shock he experienced upon leaving that world for a solitary existence as a cross-country truck driver in the US.
“Sweet Memories” is the debut single from Kondo wa Kondo, released worldwide via all major streaming services on July 26, 2024. The track opens on a melancholy solo piano as the beat lands on a chill downtempo groove. The singer steps to the mic with a dreamy, wistful, and reflective mediation. Electric guitar arpeggios and ambient synths paint the edges of the mix as the tune melts into an ethereal hypnagogic scene.
