Körperzier is a new international mixed media collaboration of visual, lyrical, and musical artists. The project is the brainchild of New Jersey native poet and lyricist Peter Lillios. Already a successful writer with several publications under his belt, this is Peter’s first foray into the world of music.
The project was inspired by the graphic and often morbid work of early twentieth century German poet Gottfried Benn. Körperzier sets those same disturbing themes to a dark soundtrack of hard-driving electronic rock. Benn leveraged his experience as a military doctor to write strikingly vivid and authentic depictions of death and decay.
Fire for Effect is the brand new three-song EP from Körperzier, released worldwide via all major streaming services on November 8, 2024. Peter Lillios assembled an international roster of creatives to bring his vision to life. The team includes producers Enrico Tiberi (Germany) & James S. (Nashville, TN), as well as vocalists Michael Gildner (Germany) & Marc Maurer (Germany). With percussive distorted analog synths, driving beats, and a wall of heavy metal guitars, Körperzier brings to mind the brutal force of industrial icons Rammstein.
