Robert Peterson and The Crusade is an emerging Christian rock band making their recording debut in 2025. The ensemble is led by singer, songwriter, and rock guitar virtuoso Robert Peterson. When not in the studio cutting tracks, Peterson can often be found dropping science in his day job as a biologist.
Joining Robert and his Les Paul on this Crusade are Benji Peterson (guitars, bass), Jack Vondrachek (bass), and Adam Hepner (drums, percussion, organ). The band’s sound is a guitar-driven vibe inspired by legends of classic and modern rock. The crew recently gathered to record some tracks at Tangerine Studios in their hometown of Saint Paul, MN.
“Baa Baa the Black Sheep” is the first single from Robert Peterson and The Crusade, available worldwide via all major streaming services. The song is from their forthcoming debut album Change Coming On. The track opens on a raw blues guitar riff riding a percussive groove. Robert steps to the mic and delivers an open letter to a loved one who has gone astray, as the band takes us to the song’s catchy and anthemic chorus.
