We first heard from Alex Genadinik upon the release of his single “Enchanting Woman,” a romantic vocal and guitar translation of a tragic Russian love poem by Bulat Okudzhava. Alex is a talented and multifaceted guy. In addition to his work as a singer, songwriter and producer he is a successful entrepreneur. Through his company Problemio he helps online businesses thrive with courses on marketing in the digital world.
Just in time for Valentine’s Day, Alex Genadinik has a new love song and video. As he did on “Enchanting Woman,” Alex takes inspiration from the art world to tell a personal tale of love. “Oh Michaelangelo” is a beautiful piano ballad in which the singer spins images of art, poetry and the legendary Italian painter’s biblical scenes from the Sistine chapel.
Musically the track features the singer and his piano at the center of the mix. However, throughout the track subtle accompaniment of strings, guitars and percussion paint the edges of the sound. It is a lush and ambient arrangement that creates a lovely ethereal soundscape. Meanwhile, Alex freely associates and intertwines visions of the master’s artwork and his lover’s silhouette. It is a romantic and heartfelt dedication.
