Fitzsimon And Brogan’s Wicked Pantomime

fitzsimon and brogan

We first heard from Fitzsimon and Brogan way back in 2019 upon the release of their single “This is Love.” As suggested by their title, the band is a musical twosome consisting of songwriter and guitarist Neil Fitzsimon and singer, multi-instrumentalist and producer Bee Brogan. The duo got their start in the indie band Pretty Blue Gun. On that project they worked with some legends of UK Rock and Pop including; members of The Art of Noise, Dave Bronze (Eric Clapton’s bass player) and Tobias Boshell (Moody Blues).

Since that group disbanded, Fitzsimon and Brogan have worked successfully as a songwriting and recording team. Their songs have appeared on television and feature films and they have even produced their own musical, Jack Dagger, which was showcased at the Greenwich Theatre, London for the Musical Futures Award. With top 5 songs in Belgium and France their tracks have charted across Europe.

“Persuasion” is the most recent single from Fitzsimon and Brogan’s latest album “This Wicked Pantomime.” The song is a bit of classic psychedelic 60’s Pop with a touch of 70’s Garage Rock crunch to the guitar. Bee sings a tale of lost love which she hopes will return as Neil lays down a string of radio-ready fuzz tone guitar phrases.

The Fitzsimon and Brogan ethos is, “to produce pure pop for now people.” With its timeless sound, relatable lyrics and immediately memorable vocal and guitar hooks, “Persuasion” stays true to their mission. Check it out, below. You can also hear the song on the Deep Indie Dive playlist. Follow the links below the video to connect with the band and their album “This Wicked Pantomime.”
