Realms of Imagination is the professional name of DJ, producer and guitarist Joey Beard. The 18 year-old musician from Georgia made his debut in 2020 with the single “Escape Your Love.” That track introduced us to a new sound that was years in the making. That is because, despite his young age Joey has been DJing for 6 years, a full 1/3 of his life.
“On Your Mind” is the latest from Realms of Imagination, released worldwide to all major streaming services on March 5, 2021. The song is a high energy club banger which mixes multiple EDM styles into an intense instrumental. The track wastes no time in hitting the dance floor hard. From the first beat the song is an explosion of energy, and it only builds in intensity from there.
With elements of Jungle, House and Techno the tune simmers with energy through the first verse. As a robotic voice chants, “What is on your mind?” the tension builds. The sound reaches its pinnacle at the 1:00 mark. After a classic EDM drum roll the tune explodes with a fantastic bass drop followed by a wild percussive and melodic shift. The groove continues unabated, pausing only briefly for a nice melodic breakdown in the bridge.
