DCxPC Live is a unique record label from Orlando, Florida. Owned and operated by two friends and bandmates; Mr. P and Mike Hellbound, they started their venture first as a live music promotion company. As we all know too well, 2020 brought the live music business to a standstill. So, Mr. P and Mike got creative. They arranged a series of livestreams, collected some pre-pandemic live recordings and started a record label. The company functions as a vehivle to promote Rock, Punk and Hardcore acts in and around the Orlando area. They don’t sign artists in the traditional fashion. Instead, each release is a standalone recording which showcases some combination of bands from Central Florida’s thriving Indie scene.
We first heard from DCxPC a few weeks ago upon the pre-release of the album DCxPC Live Volume 2 Presents: TV Generation & The Sinema. That record was a benefit to help save ‘Uncle Lou’s,’ an iconic local Orlando club. Each DCxPC record is released in phases on Bandcamp, vinyl and ultimately to all the major streaming services. On May 28, 2021 the label dropped a double single from their first album release “DCxPC Live Presents Call in Dead & 2AMAture.” The single features one track from each of the two bands; Call in Dead and 2AMature.

Call in Dead is a band of veteran Punk rockers. Their roster includes DCxPC label owners, Mr. P and Mike Hellhound. For the last three years the group has been entertaining Orlando rock fans with a hardcore style that lands somewhere between Punk, Psychobilly and Metal. Though their sound is eclectic their fans are loyal. In 2020 readers of the Orlando Weekly newspaper voted them ‘Best Punk Band in Orlando.’ Their contribution to the new double single is a song inspired by one of the greatest movies of all time, Clerks.
Silent Bob introduces his cousin from Russia who came to America to form a metal band. His band in Moscow was called “Fuck You Yankee Blue Jeans”. The song is what we imagined his band might have sounded like.
Call in Dead
2AMature lent their track “Ouija Board” to the new record. The band consists of two brothers Geomar and Yanmark Berube and their friend Julio Andrade. The trio played their first show at Uncle Lou’s in Orlando two years ago. Since then they have played throughout Orlando and Cocoa Beach. They are heavily influenced by PUP and have been compared to Dinosaur Jr, Husker Du, Black Flag and Dead Kennedys.
