ELYSIUM is an up and coming Hip-hop artist from Washington State. A rapper, producer and visual artist he has been writing and performing music since childhood. For much of that time it was little more than a hobby. However, in his mid twenties he chose to dive deeper into the tunes and consider music as a career. He recorded and released his earliest work as “BigWolf” before rebranding and relaunching with a new name and a new sound.
In 2020 ELYSIUM made his international debut with the song “C20H25N3O.” The cryptic title is actually the chemical formula for LSD (acid). With that track he set both a theme and naming convention for his singles to follow. “C21H30O2” (marijuana) was next. In keeping with the subject matter, each track mixed classic grooves with psychedelic sounds for a cool Alternative Hip-hop vibe.
“C13H19C12NO” is the latest single from ELYSIUM, released worldwide to all major streaming services on June 24, 2021. Once again the rapper is examining the effects of drugs on his own mental state. However, this formula is not nearly as much fun as its predecessors. The title represents the chemical formula of Wellbutrin (a/k/a Bupropion), a popular antidepressant. Unfortunately for the rapper the drug had opposite the intended effect. However, that did not hinder him from turning the experience into a banging Emo Trap track.
Over a hard beat and his signature trippy vibes he delivers some impressive chopping rhymes about a particularly hard time in his life. Check out “C13H19C12NO” below.
