Patricia Wilde’s Dreamy Indie Pop Vibe

patricia wilde

Patricia Wilde is an independent singer/songwriter from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. A classically trained guitarist, the talented young musician began writing her own music at a very early age. She released her first recordings of originals and covers to Bandcamp a few years ago when she was just 18 years-old.

Since the November 2020 release of her song “First Girl I Loved,” Patricia Wilde has dropped a steady string of new material. With a style that keeps one foot in the classic 90s Alternative singer/songwriter world and the other rooted in modern Indie Pop, she creates a sound that is both unique yet immediately recognizable.

“Holding Onto Water” is the latest single from Patricia Wilde, released worldwide to all major streaming services on October 8, 2021. Rolling on a laid-back guitar, bass and drum groove, the song is a mellow bit of Lo-Fi Dream Pop. Patricia strums her guitar and sings a wistful relationship post-mortem, accompanied by ethereal vocal harmonies. The sing-song melody and dreamy vibe give the track a timeless quality. If Mazzy Star were to sing a Pop song in 2021, it may sound something like “Holding Onto Water.”
