Mark Imperial New Tale of Booze, Love & Regret

mark imperial

We first heard from Mark Imperial in September upon the release of his debut single, “Heartbreaker.” That track introduced readers of The Static Dive to a talented singer, songwriter and multi-instrumentalist producer with a taste for the Pop/Punk of late 90’s and early 2000’s artists like Green Day and Blink 182. The single was a scathing diss track directed at an unfaithful ex.

Born in Australia, raised in the Philippines and now relocated back to Sydney, Mark Imperial grew up dreaming of starting a band. He honed his chops on Emo Rock until he had the chance to get into the studio and show his stuff. “Heartbreaker” saw his dreams come to fruition. The song met with success on multiple platforms and has introduced the rocker to fans around the globe.

“Wasted” is the latest single from Mark Imperial, released worldwide to all major streaming services on October 29, 2021. On his sophomore single Mark has slowed things down and dialed the amps back for a different kind of breakup song. A mix of acoustic and electric guitars set a melancholy mood as the singer fights to stay sober while looking back at his faults in the collapse of a romance. He builds his narrative around catchy and rhythmic vocal hook as tells of drunken friends, old memories and new regrets.

Check out “Wasted” below. You can also hear the song on the Deep Indie Dive playlist, or listen on your favorite streaming service. Follow the links below to connect with Mark Imperial. Get on his socials and get in the loop on all of the music to come from this exciting new talent.
