Zavier’s New Caribbean Love Groove

zavier

We first heard from Zavier in May upon the release of his sophomore single “I Stand Alone.” That song introduced us to a talented and eclectic musician and actor from New York City with a laid-back style and a defiantly independent vibe. As a songwriter and producer he finds inspiration from every corner of popular music. Although he was born in NYC, the singer lived in both Morocco and Barbados for a number of years. On his new single, Zavier calls upon those African and Caribbean influences.

“Forget You” is the latest single from Zavier, released worldwide to all major streaming services on November 5, 2021. His earlier work paired ambient and lo-fi instrumentals with downtempo Trap beats and dark, introspective lyrics. On the new track he has turned up the heat with an uplifting love song set to a great Caribbean groove.

An upbeat Soca rhythm keeps the tune moving. Afrobeat and Latin percussion paint the edges of the mix as Zavier delivers a soulful tune in praise of the object of his affection. It’s a fantastic groove with smooth vocals and infectiously catchy melody.

Check out “Forget You” below. You can also hear the song on the Deep Indie Dance playlist, or listen on your favorite streaming service. Follow the links below to connect with Zavier.
