Dantès is the professional name of singer, songwriter, producer, actor, dancer and model Dantès Alexander. We first heard from the multifaceted artist in August of 2020 upon the release of his single “So Below.” With that track, the Chicago-based musician introduced a unique House, Funk and R&B-infused Disco groove.
Since the release of “So Below,” Dantès followed with the cross-platform Dance hits “Killer (Black Lives Matter) Remix” and “Tick Tock (Beat Don’t Stop).” In June of this year he dropped his debut EP “New Jack City” along with an accompanying 16bit mobile and PC video game. He followed in August with “New Jack City II: LYFE CYMBAL.” In addition to his musical success, Alexander is an accomplished actor. Since 2019, he has had multiple feature roles in two Showtime TV shows; “Work in Progress” and “The Chi.”
“Your The One (SkkyRidder)” is the latest single and video from Dantès, released worldwide to all major streaming services on November 1, 2021. The track opens on a dramatic Dark Pop/R&B intro. Synths and strings paint a cinematic scene as the singer declares his devotion to ‘the one.’ By the 1:00 mark the song kicks into an upbeat EDM banger. It’s and infectious Melodic House groove peppered with elements of Glitch and Synthwave.
