The Static Dive is the solo project of Bob Smith, lead singer, guitarist and primary songwriter for the New York bands ‘Shu’ and ‘The Distractions.’ Since the early 90’s Bob has entertained the Eastern Seaboard and beyond with an eclectic style, masterful songwriting and smoking guitar chops.
A multi-instrumentalist producer, Bob is a veteran of both sides of the music business. Currently, in addition to making music he also runs The Static Dive music blog. Recently signed to the German record label ‘FBP Music Group,’ The Static Dive has released a series of genre-bending singles over the past three years, with a renewed focus on his unique brand of singer/songwriter Alternative Rock in 2021. “High & Dry” is a funky, catchy bit of Psychedelic Alt-Rock featuring some sweet Acid Blues guitar.
