Indigo Daydream – How Would it Feel to Know the Truth

Indigo Daydream’s Nick Cheshire

We first heard from Indigo Daydream a few weeks ago upon the release of their debut single “Life Might Not Be Real.” That track introduced us to the trippy vibes and retro style of UK songwriter and multi-instrumentalist producer Nick Cheshire. His sound is a groovy mix of 60’s psychedelia with 80’s synthwave experimentation and a modern Indie aesthetic. Like chapters in a serial novel, Cheshire is telling his chilled out science-fiction tale one single at a time.

“How Would it Feel to Know the Truth” is the latest from Indigo Daydream, released worldwide to all major streaming services on December 10, 2021. On his previous track, Nick suggested that “Life Might Not Be Real.” On the new single he continues the Matrix inspired theme and presents us with a difficult question. If life was all a ruse, would you want to know.

The track takes us into the surreal with layers of ethereal vocals, rock guitars and lush ambient synths. The sound lands somewhere between The Beatles in the 60’s, ELO in the 70’s and Love & Rockets in the 80’s. It is a perfect second chapter to the story.
