Mr. MiLK’s New Urgently Cordial

Mr. MiLK

We first heard from Mr. MiLK in December 2021 upon the release of his album “Acquainted Karaoke.” That record introduced us to Noah Mills, a wildly experimental young composer and producer from Las Vegas, Nevada. The 17 year-old musician dropped his debut album “Emergence” early last year. Since then the remarkably prolific producer has released an astounding ten albums in less than a year.

Noah first began his musical journey five years ago in his school orchestra. Since learning the double bass he went on to teach himself to play a number of instruments including guitar, cello, drums and keys. He wields these tools to create a genre-bending musical landscape that defies easy classification.

“Heartbeat” is the current single and lead track from Mr. MiLK’s latest album “Urgently Cordial,” released worldwide to all major streaming services on December 31, 2021. The track opens on a cool Lo-fi vibe of Indie Pop guitar and a mix of analog and electronic percussion. Psychedelic keys take that mood on some trippy detours as they trade verses with an old-timey Jazz-hop beat.

The song introduces an 8 track album that finds the creative young producer further pushing the boundaries of his sound into wild experimental Post Rock, and downtempo instrumental experimentation. Check out “Heartbeat” below. You can also hear the song on the Deep Indie Chill playlist, or listen to the whole album on your favorite streaming service.
