We first heard from René Michael in January upon the release of his single “Hope.” That track introduced readers of The Static Dive to a Danish producer and composer with a taste for laid back Sci-Fi inspired downtempo EDM beats, Trance vibes and lush ambient moods.
Ten years ago, an 18 year old René got his first record deal and launched a career as a DJ and producer. He was following in his father’s footsteps who had been a successful DJ since the 80’s. The young artist spent the next decade creating a deep catalog of wildly creative genre-bending EDM music. He has recorded and performed under various monikers including SmK1337 and René Michael Olesen.

Pulsing bass tones ride a driving downtempo Deep House beat. Percussive arpeggios set the melodic anchor as airy synths simulate the song of a whale.
In the song’s psychedelic video we travel through the galaxy. The short film follows the title character as she explores various anomalies and singularities throughout the universe.
