The Dom is the professional name of emerging Hip-hop artist Dominic John Cox. Originally from the small town of Adrian, Michigan, he first started writing rhymes at just 11 years-old. At 16 the young rapper relocated to Rutledge, Tennessee. That is when he launched his professional solo recording career.

He debuted in 2018 with a series of singles. In 2019 he dropped his debut EP “Above All Evil.” Then The Dom joined the United States Army and his music career was placed on pause for about two years. Now he is back at the mic with a newfound clarity and once again ready to chase the dream.
“Don’t Sleep on Me ” is the brand new single from The Dom, released worldwide to all major streaming services on February 5, 2022. The track opens with psychedelic samples floating above a funky Lo-fi Trap groove. Deep 808 bass hits hold down the bottom as the rapper enters the mix with a red-hot freestyle. He drops some classic Hip-hop posturing with an impressive old-school lyrical flow, clever rhymes and impeccable technique.
