PsychCloned’s Serene White Lotus

White Lotus

Readers of The Static Dive have followed PsychCloned‘s musical journey for nearly two years. In that time, the prolific composer from North Carolina has produced a vast discography of innovative and experimental instrumental music. Known to his family and friends as Gabriel Pureco, he is an adventurous artist who creates genre-defying cinematic music.

Originally inspired by video game music, PsychCloned made his debut in 2019. Since then he has delivered a remarkable volume of work including four albums, an EP and six singles. Most of his earlier work consisted of complex orchestral arrangements. With his recent single “Leap of Faith” Gabriel made a stylistic shift toward a more intimate and jazzy vibe.  It is a theme he continues on his latest release.

“White Lotus” is the brand new single from PsychCloned, released worldwide to all major streaming services on February 18, 2022. The piece opens on a melodic piano and bass intro. Drums enter the mix and through first verse the song sets an idyllic scene with an instrumental Pop ballad.

Percussive string arpeggios create an airy mood as the bass guitar and piano share melodic duties. In the bridge a guitar joins and leads the band through a funky Jazz break. Ultimately the track comes full circle and leaves us on an ethereal piano and guitar duet.
