Readers of The Static Dive have been following the Alpha Circle story from the beginning. The Madrid based band formed when two English and two Spanish musicians got together to, “express themes of hope and overcoming life’s challenges.”

They dropped their debut single “Circles” in 2019. Since then the group has delivered a total of six tracks and picked up a record contract. Recently, the band’s song “Phoenix And Butterflies” won the title “Best Song of 2021” as voted for by the listeners of UK radio station Shout Radio.

“1995” is the latest single from Alpha Circle, released worldwide to all major streaming services on February 18, 2022. For a band whose mission is to spread positive vibes, the 2020’s have surely presented some challenges. Their new single acknowledges that without betraying the premise.

A melodic bass line opens the track as vocalist Lee Chamberlain sets the mood. He makes a subtle commentary on the sorry state of the world today, but he doesn’t dwell there long. A rhythmic guitar and drum Funk propels the song into an upbeat dance groove as the singer looks back to simpler times.
