We first heard from Kele Fleming in December of last year upon the release of her single “Sturgeon Love.” That song introduced us to a talented singer/songwriter from Vancouver, British Columbia. A veteran of the 90’s Alternative Rock scene, Kele (pronounced Kelly) sound is a product of that great decade of Rock & Roll.
Originally from a small town in Ontario, Kele Fleming helped shape the Vancouver music scene after moving to that city and fronting the popular indie band Hazel Motes. Working as a solo artist, since 2004 the singer has produced a sizable catalog of work including four full length albums and a string of singles. In her music music she gives voice to the environmental and social justice issues which she feels passionate about.
“Echo Chamber” is the latest single from Kele Fleming, released worldwide to all major streaming services on February 18, 2022. A solo, rhythmic piano introduces the song. Soon bass and drums join the ensemble as Kele Fleming enters the mix with a cryptic mix of social commentary, politics and a bit of science fiction. It’s a great organic sound, with Kele at center stage delivering a soulful and earnest performance as she draws parallels between a mindless robotic drone and the social media echo chamber of our modern world.
