Boaty Blanco

Regular readers of The Static Dive know Boaty Blanco well. We were first introduced to his unique genre-bending style in 2020 with the fun and funny Hip-hop track, “Randy Savage.” A few months later he was back with a completely different vibe on “All Love,” a touching R&B-tinged tribute to a lost friend.

The Pennsylvania native debuted his unique mix of Hip-hop and Alternative Rock in 2018. Since then the prolific producer has delivered over two dozen singles and has performed with superstars like Fetty Wap, Lil Durk and Jay Critch. With hits like “Darkest Days” and “Uncle Sam,” Boaty has connected with fans all over the world. His songs tell the tale of a young man who rose above his own battles with addiction and turned his life around.

“Pointless” is the latest single from Boaty Blanco, released worldwide to all major streaming services on March 13, 2022. A pair of guitars pick a mellow minor-key Emo chord progression, accompanied only by occasional ambient synths. Boaty enters the mix with an emotional account of the confusion of young love. He’s happy but can’t trust it, summing the theme up perfectly as he sings, “I think I might be in love with you and that shit makes me uncomfortable.”
