300 South Drops New Summer Party Anthem

300 South
300 South

We first heard from 300 South last year upon the release of the track “Celebration.” That song introduced readers of The Static Dive to a talented multi-genre producer from Chicago. After years of working in support of other artists he launched his own solo career in 2021. Since then the prolific producer has dropped 7 singles as well as the 4-song “Unknown” EP.

The versatile artist’s catalog already includes old-school Hip-hop (‘Celebration’), instrumental Trip-hop (‘The universe is infinite’) and modern Trap (‘Palace’). On each release he recruits from a talented pool of rappers and singers. On his latest single, the Chicagoan has teamed up with California native guitarist and producer Deven LaLonde for the perfect intro to Summer. Each producer invited singers from his home state to join the party.

“Seemed So Shy” is the latest single from 300 South, released worldwide to all major streaming services on April 20, 2022. A chilled Jazz guitar opens the track and immediately sets a mellow mood. Soon the beat drops on a smooth Disco groove. A live ensemble of bass, drums, guitar and keys meters out a perfect midtempo block party vibe. That analog wah-wah Funk rides a classic Disco groove as the trio of Ralph Porter from Chicago, and Californians Will Thonson & Yu Ishii trade verses for a joyful summertime jam.

Check out “Seemed So Shy” below. You can also hear the song on both the Deep Indie Dive and Deep Indie Dance playlists, or listen on your favorite streaming service. Follow the links below to connect with 300 South and get in the loop on all of the music to come from this talented team.
