Call in Dead Take On The Patriarchy

Call in Dead

We first heard from Call in Dead in May of last year upon the release of “DCxPC Live Presents Call in Dead & 2AMAture.” That double single was part of a series of live recordings released by Orlando, Florida record label DCxPC Live. Born of the pandemic to provide some financial relief to musicians and venues suffering financially through two years of lockdowns, the boutique label produces collector-worthy hardcore Punk and Metal records on vinyl.

Mr. P and Mike Hellhound are the two brains behind DCxPC Live. They also make up one half of Call in Dead. The quartet of veteran rockers range in age from 31 to 47. Before forming the group three years ago the members had spent decades playing in a string Punk, Psychobilly and Metal bands.

Although COVID landed just as the band was taking off, thanks to the launch of DCxPC Live and the hard work of Mr. P, Mike and the Indie community, they have thrived through live streams and single releases. In 2020 readers of the Orlando Weekly newspaper voted them ‘Best Punk Band in Orlando.’

“Patriarchy” is the brand new single from Call in Dead, released worldwide to all major streaming services on April 29, 2022. Clocking in at just over one minute, the track is a sonic assault on toxic masculinity delivered at a breakneck tempo. It’s a 2022 message with 1982 CBGB energy, and it rocks.

Check out the “Patriarchy” lyric video below. You can also hear the song on the Deep Indie Dive playlist, or listen on your favorite streaming service. Call in Dead are currently working on their debut full length album “Deepest Condolences” due for release this fall. Follow the links below to connect with the band and rock out.
