Readers of The Static Dive first heard from David D’Alessio last year upon the release of his EP ‘This Far Apart‘. The seven song collection introduced a soulful singer/songwriter with an easy Pop vibe. Originally from Hawaii, D’Alessio spent a number of years in Arizona. There, thanks to his smooth vocals and a knack for writing catchy and relatable Pop tunes, local fans and the press came to know him as the “Jason Mraz of the Southwest.”
Now based in New York City, David D’Alessio made his professional solo recording debut in 2007 with the album “Songs to Undress Your Ego.” That record launched a successful string of releases that have found dozens of placements in radio, film and TV productions. His latest single is the post-COVID summer anthem that pandemic-weary would-be beachgoers have been waiting for.
“Nowhere Else (I Wanna Be)” is the brand new single from David D’Alessio, available worldwide via all major streaming services on May 24, 2022. Hand claps and an upbeat Alt/Pop guitar open the track with a sunbaked vibe that never leaves. David steps to the mic with an endless summer fantasy delivered in a cool Pop tenor over a fun and loose groove. In the chorus the song opens up to a lush Pop production of synths, strings and vocal harmonies as D’Alessio sings of, “You and me, underneath a blue sky.”
