Anjalts returns with a brand new dreamy Dark Pop nugget. Regular readers of The Static Dive will remember the singer from previous tracks like 2021’s politically charged ‘Air to Fire‘ and the similarly socially conscious ‘Times We R Living‘ from earlier this year.Those tracks introduced us to a multi-talented artist with a sound that is informed by decades of Alternative Pop and Rock, from Kate Bush to St. Vincent.
The talented singer, songwriter and multi-instrumentalist producer made her debut in 2020 with the single ‘Remember You’. Since then the prolific artist has delivered a string of Indie Alt/Pop hits. Tracks like ‘Somewhere in the Sky’ count their streaming numbers in the hundreds of thousands.
“Calling Out” is the brand new single from Anjalts, released worldwide to all major streaming services on April 29, 2022. A solo acoustic piano pulses at the heart of this melancholy Chamber Pop torch song. Both organic and electronic percussive components paint the periphery as Anjalts steps to the mic to deliver a soulful and sorrowful meditation on time, distance and solitude.
