We first heard from Sara De Sanctis last year upon the release of her single “Serendipity.” That track introduced The Static Dive readers to an award-winning Italian-born and London based classically trained pianist and vocalist. After studying performance and competition in her home country she attended music school in both the US and the UK. In London she attended the prestigious University of Bristol.
After graduating in classical piano, I realized performing my own music and singing was more exciting for me than playing other composers’ works.

Since making the transition to popular music, Sara De Sanctis has released three singles. Although she is new on the pop scene, the singer is already keeping pace with her previous successes in classical music. Her songs “Serendipity” and “15 Again” have found major placements on BBC radio and both songs have won awards in Italy.Â
“Fading” is the latest single from Sara De Sanctis, released worldwide via all major streaming services on June 3, 2022. Ambient synths, guitar and reverb-soaked piano chords introduce the track’s hypnotic mood. The singer steps to the mic and in a soft mezzo soprano delivers a melancholy and cerebral meditation on obsession and identity. Various stringed and keyed instruments paint the periphery as a chilled out trip-hop beat rides the song’s hypnotic vibe.
