As the head honcho of New York City’s CoolNerd Media, Mark and his team create a wide range of cutting edge products and productions. CoolNerd Music is the music production division of CoolNerd Media, and it is the platform for Unthank’s personal passion project, FunkVotage. Since the project’s 2020 debut they have released a total of ten singles. Their music lives in a timeless world of laid-back and sexy beats, smooth bass lines, disco strings and a healthy dose of Nile Rodgers-style funk guitar.
“The Echoes Of Our Love” is the brand new single from FunkVoyage, released worldwide to all major streaming services on May 27, 2022. The track opens on a dreamy mix of guitar, vocals and staccato strings. Soon the beat drops on a chill, mid-tempo funk groove. Vocalist Antonia Marquee steps to the mic and delivers a soulful and romantic meditation. Through the verses the track floats on an ethereal vibe, gradually building to a chill funk groove in the chorus.
