We first heard from TD Hatfield in November of last year upon the release of his single “Unstoppable.” That record introduced The Static Dive readers to a talented singer, songwriter and virtuosic guitar player from Germantown, Maryland. TD makes cerebral, emotional singer/songwriter adult contemporary pop. And he can play the guitar just like he’s ringing a bell.
Since his solo debut in 2018 TD Hatfield has released four singles. This new batch of tunes is just the latest chapter in a decades-long musical story. Over the years the sought-after guitarist has worked as band member, session musician and recording engineer. These days he works with a producer in Nashville to create a soulful and organic Americana vibe.
“Falling into Dream” is the latest single from TD Hatfield, released worldwide via all major streaming services on March 11, 2022. An assortment of acoustic, electric and slide guitars join a bed of ambient synths to open the song in a chilled mood. The mix gradually builds to a lush wall of sound as the singer steps to the mic with a dreamy pop love song. Throughout the track he trades lines with some cool and classy blues guitar.
