We first heard from Rice in April of this year upon the release of his single, “No Brady.” That track introduced us to skilled emcee, singer, songwriter and entrepreneur, Jerard Rice. He, along with his brother and fellow musician M-Ezy, is the founder of Webster, Massachusetts based label Hustle Work Grind Records.
With a creative mix of new-school and old-school vibes, Rice makes radio-ready hip-hop. Fans and the industry are starting to take notice. The rapper has reached hundreds of thousands of global hip-hop fans with tracks like 2020’s “Round it Up.” He won the Best Performance Video award at Poze Radio for “No Brady” in 2021 and then won the award again in 2022 for “Big Dreams.”
“Juice” is the brand new single from Rice, released worldwide via all major streaming services on Junes 24, 2022. The track rolls on a slow and low trap groove. Percussive synth arpeggios and a jazzy trumpet sample paint the edges of the mix. Jerard steps to the mic with a message to a clingy lover. He tells her he needs space over a smooth 808 beat.
