The Antenna Tribe’s New Downtempo Dream

the antenna tribe

The Antenna Tribe is back with a new dose of perfectly chilled downtempo electronic vibes. The Los Angeles-based collaborative project is the brainchild of an otherwise anonymous producer who left the world of medicine to craft ethereal trip-hop jams. Since April of this year, readers of The Static Dive have enjoyed a steady string of releases from the group, culminating in the release earlier this month of the 4-song EP Elastic Crowns.

The prolific producer has returned with “Plain Sight (Not The Same Song),” released worldwide via all major streaming services on July 22, 2022. For the vocal, the tribe has recruited the talents of UK singer Silke, who has been a consistent collaborator throughout 2022. Once again the talented vocalist delivers an otherworldly performance.

A minimalist 4/4 groove beats at the heart “Plain Sight (Not The Same Song).” Ambient synths create a ethereal scene as the song’s simple melodic hook reverberates across the horizon. Silke steps to the mic and delivers a soulful and esoteric Bjork-inspired meditation. The song’s equally dreamy video features a beautiful woman posing in front of psychedelic scenes.
