We first heard from G The Producer in June upon the release of his single “Alive.” That track introduced The Static Dive readers to an eclectic and diversely talented songwriter and producer from upstate New York with an experimental alternative hip-hop sound. The genre-bending creator mixes elements of pop, hip-hop and r&b into his own unique vibe.
The prolific producer has released a string of singles and two EPs since his debut in 2018. A versatile beatmaker and rapper, he has amassed an impressive and diverse catalog of original material in that time. “Storm” is the brand new single from G The Producer, released worldwide via all major streaming services on July 29, 2022. As the song opens, a cinematic solo piano sets the mood with a dramatic minor-key ballad. A slow and low trap beat drops. G and guest vocalist Insp1red take turns at the mic with their dark first-person narratives of depression and heartache. It is an emotional and universally relatable scene.
