n.e.r.d. life by D’Vo is a groundbreaking experimental hip-hop and soul artist who made his professional solo recording debut in 2019 with the album The Codex: I’ve Got Next. That record introduced a multi-talented singer, songwriter and multi-instrumentalist producer from Houston making high-concept genre-bending music. In his songs D’Vo explores the concepts of faith, love and materialism. Regular readers of The Static Dive will remember last year’s single “Halitosis“.
Since his debut, n.e.r.d. life by D’Vo has released three entries in The Codex series of albums. The project will ultimately grow to become an extension of eleven bodies of work. The fourth installment will be titled The Codex: In My Bag. This time the singer is releasing the record incrementally, one single at a time.
