Levandé is the professional name of singer, songwriter and multi-instrumentalist musician Kevin Levandé. Regular readers of The Static Dive will remember the jazz musician and alternative artist from his 2020 single “Thank Yah“. The Netherlands-born, Congolese singer made his professional solo recording debut in 2019 with the album “Quest of an Architect”.
That record introduced a talented young artist with a smooth jazz inspired pop sound. Since his debut, the prolific he has released three EPs, including both studio and live renditions of his sophomore release Extension. His music has connected with fans around the world. The singer recently dropped his first new music of 2022.
“Dream” is the brand new single from Levandé, released worldwide via all major streaming services on September 23. Ethereal electric piano chords and ambient synths introduce the track. Soon the beat drops on an organic ensemble of live bass, drums and keys.
The singer steps to the mic and delivers a soulful and self-affirming testimony. Layers of dreamy multi-part vocal harmony ride a jazz and disco-infused alternative pop groove. Levandé sings of his determination to stay true to himself and follow his dreams
