3Mind Blight is the professional name of singer, songwriter and multi-instrumentalist producer, Mike Bouchér. We first heard from Mike in 2021 upon the release of “Reflections“, his hit collaboration with singer Sophie Dorsten. That track introduced The Static Dive readers to an eclectic, versatile and deeply talented recording artist from Tulsa, Oklahoma.
Since his debut, the prolific musician has produced a remarkable volume of work. In less than five years he has released dozens of singles and three full-length albums. His genre-fluid sound has connected with fans around the world thanks to popular tracks like last year’s “Breaking Down”.
“Paranoid” is the latest single from 3Mind Blight, released worldwide via all major streaming services on January 23, 2023. Continuing the hard rock theme of his 2022 LP Look on the Bright Side, Bouchér offers a heavy examination of one the human mind’s darkest seasons. The track rides on a low, slow and churning guitar riff.
As the track progresses, the wall of guitars grows deeper, taller and wider. On mic, the singer alternates between a dramatic melodic rock and deep guttural vocals. He rails against the specter of mental illness over a Pantera-style groove metal vibe.
